C\Prof has several functions that allow you to create auxiliary trace data sets from the CICS internal trace. In this section, you will learn how to:
-
Take a back-in-time snapshot of the CICS internal trace to an auxiliary trace data set (see Taking a snapshot of the CICS internal trace).
-
Record from the CICS internal trace into auxiliary trace data sets (see Recording to auxiliary trace data sets).
-
Use the Region List to select an auxiliary trace data set for viewing (see Opening registered auxiliary trace data sets).
-
Use the C\Prof trace viewer to view formatted trace events (see Browsing trace).
-
Import a C\Prof auxiliary trace data set into the transaction profiler (see Importing auxiliary trace data sets into the profiler).
Review the sections to the left to get started.
