Ad hoc batch data collection

C\Prof supports several batch data collection utilities that can be used for ad hoc batch requests.

To submit an ad hoc batch request, use option 4 Batch on the C\Prof primary option menu to generate JCL. You can submit the JCL immediately, or save it for later use.

In this section, you will learn how to submit ad hoc batch jobs to:

Take a back-in-time snapshot of the CICS internal trace and write it to an auxiliary trace data set (see Snap the CICS internal trace).
Record the CICS internal trace for transaction profiling (see Record for transaction profiling).
Record the CICS internal trace to auxiliary trace data sets (see Record to auxiliary trace data sets).
Import transactions and trace events in an auxiliary trace data set into the profiler (see Import an auxiliary trace data set into the profiler).
Create an auxiliary trace data set from a CICS dump using the C\Prof IPCS VERBEXIT (see Create an auxiliary trace data set from a CICS dump using IPCS).
