Introduction
Rocket Software, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively "Rocket Software" or “we”) are committed to ensuring that we – and our suppliers – operate in compliance with all applicable laws as well as in accordance with the highest standards of ethical behavior, as outlined in our Code of Conduct. Rocket Software is committed to ensuring that our business operates in a socially responsible way and avoids modern slavery and human trafficking in our organization or supply chain.
Our business
Rocket Software partners with the largest enterprises to solve their most complex IT challenges, across infrastructure, data, and applications — with solutions that simplify, not disrupt their modernization journey. Trusted by over 10,000 customers, Rocket Software works with customers to accelerate and optimize their modernization journey while meeting evolving market needs.
Organizational structure
Rocket Software, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, headquartered in Massachusetts, with over 3,000 employees worldwide. More information about Rocket Software offices can be found on our website at /company/locations.
Modern slavery defined
Modern slavery is any situation of exploitation where a person cannot refuse or leave work because of threats, violence, coercion, abuse of power or deception. This is an international crime, affecting millions of people around the world. Modern slavery includes, but is not limited to, human trafficking, forced labor, slavery-like practices, forced marriage and deceptive recruiting for labor or services and debt bondage.
Our supply chain
Rocket Software’s key suppliers are primarily based in the United States and Europe and provide Rocket Software with technology, data, office, facilities, and professional advisory products and services. While we believe that we work in a sector and territories where slavery and human trafficking are particularly low, every company is at risk of being involved in some way through its operations and supply chain and we want to work with suppliers who are aligned to our values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust and Love. Our goal is that there be no slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business.
Nevertheless, we require that all new vendors with whom we enter into a Rocket Software master services agreement to agree that they and their subcontractors comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking laws, including but not limited to the UK Modern Slavery Act and the Australian Modern Slavery Act of 2018. We have also embedded these expectations in our purchase order forms that we share with the vast majority of our vendors.
Policies on slavery and human trafficking
Rocket Software’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking is confirmed by our values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust and Love and can be found in several of our corporate policies and procedures, including our Code of Conduct. We also have an ethics hotline that allows for anonymous reports, which can be accessed by employees and third parties (see www.rocketsoftware.ethicspoint.com). These documents and processes reflect our commitment to respecting and promoting fundamental human rights, which we view as a key component of responsible corporate citizenship.
Due diligence and further steps
Rocket Software has implemented the following procedures to reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking in its supply chain, including the following:
We continue to promote an environment that encourages reporting concerns and protects whistleblowers;
We monitor suppliers to ensure we are not doing business with sanctioned entities; and
Through the general purchasing conditions for the supply of products, we require that all suppliers comply with all relevant national and international laws, regulations, and provisions applicable in the country of production and have reserved our right to audit our vendors.
Training
Rocket Software provides training to new employees on the importance of Rocket Software's values, as well as acting ethically and complying with our Code of Conduct. This training includes information regarding Rocket Software’s opposition to any form of slavery or human trafficking, and our goal to build trust-based relationships with ethical partners and suppliers who follow our values.
