January 2021
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2021!
Each year, January is an exciting and energizing month for me. Yes, the weather is still cold here in Boston and spring is still months away, but the beginning of the new year always fills me with a sense of hope and unlimited opportunity. And that’s never been more true than this January.
The temporary pause around the end of year holidays also gives me the time and the space to reflect on what’s next for Rocket, and what’s next in our journey to partner with you on your journey to delivering even more legendary outcomes in the world.
Our core values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust, and Love will continue to inform us and guide us in this new year.
In addition, our Customer Commitment and our Product Promise provide constructs and the contract that remind us of what you expect from us – in each and every interaction, in each and every product deliverable, each and every day.
Together, our Core Values, our Customer Commitment, and our Product Promise define The Rocket Experience, which we continually challenge ourselves to deliver to you.
I’m excited and hopeful about the prospects that this new year brings. I look forward to seeing you some time in this new year – in person! Until then, I want to hear from you. Let me know what we can do in order to be a better partner for you. What products, features, and functions do you need? Where do your need more of our technical and domain expertise? And always, let me know when and where we are coming up short living our Values, our Commitment, and our Promise.
Thank you for your long-term partnership (we will celebrate 31 years together in April!). I look forward to working with you this year to ensure that your Rocket experience is the best.
Onward and Upward with much Empathy, Humanity, Trust, and Love,
This month, I'm including a list of New Year's songs that our Executive Leadership Team helped put together.

The New Year (Death Cab for Cutie)
The lead single from the band's masterpiece Transatlanticism, this is the perfect New Year's song for 2021 with its mix of optimism and trepidation.

Beautiful Day (U2)
An ode to seizing the moment, this song also marked a new beginning for the band as they reinvented themselves following their 1990s maximalism.

The World is Waiting for the Sunrise (Eric Johnson)
Known for his soaring electric guitar leads, this song from Eric Johnson's first acoustic album is a masterclass on acoustic fingerpicking.

What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong)
A perennial New Year's Eve classic, Louis Armstrong sets aside his trumpet for a moment to reflect on the beauty that surrounds us every day.
