Rocket Software Condemns Hate Speech: A Message from our CEO

February 29, 2024

It was brought to my attention this morning that a Rocket Software employee has been posting antisemitic content on social media. This inappropriate behavior does not align with Rocket Software’s core values, reflected in our Code of Conduct. We took swift action to investigate and act, terminating the individual.

To be clear: Rocket Software has zero tolerance for antisemitism or hate speech of any kind.

As the CEO, I take very seriously my role in creating an inclusive, diverse and equitable culture that enables Rocketeers to enjoy a rewarding work environment and create positive impact in the world. As a human, I am saddened and disturbed by this act and the serious impact it has had on Rocketeers and our extended network.

Today has been a very troubling day for me as both a leader and a fellow Rocketeer. It also reminds me what I so value about our culture: that diversity is celebrated and respected. That every Rocketeer can feel a sense of belonging. That our core values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust and Love are not simply words, but interwoven components in all we do.

I am not naïve to the macro issues driving hate in our culture. In the context of that climate and given today’s events, I feel it’s important that I reaffirm our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and creating a safe, inclusive community for all Rocketeers. As Rocket continues to grow, it is increasingly important for us to build on the strong foundation we have so that new team members understand and embrace the Rocket Software culture of inclusivity and inclusion.

Thank you to those who reached out to me and my fellow leaders in the company to raise the issue and allow us to address it. It is my hope this moment provides an important time to pause, reflect and lead with true empathy, earned trust, greater humanity and a lot more love.
