What interested you in Rocket Software?

I already had experience working with enterprise technology and high-tech products, so once I decided I was ready to expand my skillset, Rocket Software was an obvious choice. Rocket Software was relatively new to India when I joined, but—as a challenge-seeking person, I loved that its products are so versatile and comprehensive—and after meeting some of the people here, I knew it was the right place for me to learn and grow.

What is one of your proudest moments during your time at Rocket Software?

Receiving positive feedback about my team from other managers is always a proud moment for me at work—witnessing recognition for their skills, dedication, and hard work fills me with a sense of accomplishment. Knowing that their efforts are acknowledged by others not only validates their commitment but also reaffirms my belief in their capabilities and the collaborative spirit we foster. This kind of acknowledgment also reflects positively on my leadership journey and the investment I've made in nurturing and guiding them. It's a gratifying reminder that effective leadership isn't just about achieving personal success, it’s also about empowering others to thrive and succeed collectively.

Do you think Rocket Software’s core values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust and Love are unique from other companies? And how do you live by these in your day-to-day role?

In my work, and the work that I expect my team to do, it all starts with empathy. Recognizing and understanding the perspectives and emotions of others lays the foundation for building trust, fostering meaningful connections and ultimately making a positive impact. When empathy guides our actions, it becomes easier to cultivate trust among colleagues, users, and stakeholders. This trust forms the bedrock of strong relationships and enables us to collaborate effectively, achieve shared goals and drive innovation.

At Rocket Software, we prioritize empathy as one of our core values, recognizing its transformative power in shaping organizational culture and driving success. By prioritizing empathy in our interactions and decision-making processes, we enhance workplace dynamics and contribute to making the world a more compassionate and inclusive place for everyone. In an industry where empathy-driven approaches may be rare, Rocket Software stands out for its commitment to fostering a culture of Empathy, Humanity, Trust and Love, setting a precedent for others to follow.

Rocket Software inspires an environment where diversity is celebrated and respected, people are valued for their unique contributions, and where each Rocketeer feels a sense of belonging. The Rocket Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (RIDE) Program helps foster these beliefs. Tell us why you think DEI in the workplace is so important today. If you’ve participated in any RIDE initiatives previously, please share!

I have been a RIDE ambassador, and I’ve participated in several RIDE initiatives. I really appreciate how the RIDE Program has allowed me to meet some of my fellow Rocketeers that I would not normally connect with on a day-to-day basis. RIDE encourages us to celebrate our differences and see them as strengths; to me, that’s the core of a good DEI program.

It's in these interactions I have through the RIDE Program, like sharing family traditions or discussing life milestones, where diversity enriches my perspective. I have benefited tremendously from the Aurora Program, the leadership development program for women, and I’ve also rejoiced in witnessing the growth in my team members who went through Aurora. DEI encourages all of us to prioritize mental health and well-being, fostering a supportive environment where taking a break is not only accepted but encouraged. DEI isn't one-size-fits-all; it requires consideration of various factors like geography and stage of life. Embracing DEI consciously in our work environments enriches our collective experiences and strengthens the fabric of our thoughts, fostering a culture of empathy, respect and mutual care.
