Rocket Data z/Presentation takes a straightforward approach to web enablement of mainframe data and applications. It provides the flexibility to combine multiple 3270 screens into a user-friendly web interface and eliminates the use of cryptic codes, fields, and "screen-scraping" technologies. z/Presentation references mainframe 3270 screen fields using screen map definitions rather than row and column designations. This minimizes maintenance when the application changes and reduces the chance of programming errors.

Your developers work with a set of high-performance, low-level APIs. The APIs and Rocket Data Dynamic Introspection technology interact with the meta data associated with screen field definitions. Dynamic Introspection interrogates mainframe screen-based applications and publishes application information, mapsets, maps, and fields as native XML interfaces.
