We’re pleased to announce the availability of Rocket® MV BASIC for Visual Studio Code (VS Code) v1.1.1

Rocket MV BASIC for VS Code offers features to help your developers modernize, simplify, and work more productively.

We are developing and releasing MV BASIC for VS Code (MVVS) at regular intervals to provide more frequent enhancements and fixes.

Version 1.1.1 is the first of these regular releases and includes editing feature enhancements:

  • Diagnostic Support* – syntax error checking for statements and variables. When writing BASIC programs, syntax error checking highlights errors in statements and can even warn you when a variable is undefined making it easier to correct coding mistakes on the fly.
  • Signature Help – automatic parameters list for internal or customized functions. Signature help will automatically display the list of parameters associated with an internal function for quick and efficient coding. For customized functions, developers can define the list of parameters to be displayed automatically.

To learn more about these features, please view the MVVS v1.1.1 video.

For more information on planned MVVS release content please join our quarterly roadmap webinars.

Full diagnostic support will be added to MVVS over a series of releases.
