Get Ready for Rocket.Build 2023

As we close out the year, it’s time for one of Rocket Software’s most exciting events—Rocket.Build! The event brings together not just Rocketeers, but also students and partners, all with a shared goal of creating innovation. Rocket.Build 2023 is set to feature projects from every department and function of Rocket Software, whether that’s legal, marketing, or the finance team—anywhere there’s an opportunity to improve processes, enhance Rocket Software solutions or solve customer problems, there’s a project being built to make it happen.

Here's a quick look at just how far Rocket.Build has come and what to expect from this year’s competition.

Celebrating Ten Years of Innovation

This year marks a major milestone for the Rocket.Build competition as we celebrate its tenth anniversary. What originally started as a hackathon for Rocketeers to get creative and have fun, has quickly blossomed into one of our most beloved annual traditions. Today, Rocket.Build participants are a global group including Rocketeers, customers, students and partners from four continents and 15 countries stretching from the U.S. to Australia to India and Spain. For Rocket.Build 2023, we received a record number of submissions with over 160 projects submitted by just shy of 500 participants—a massive group of people that spans far beyond Rocket Software’s three main business units.

Rocket.Build is a reflection of the values and passion that exist with Rocket Software. Over the years, it has quickly gone from a fun creative competition to something that has helped drive real, impactful changes to the business at-large. It’s also shown just how resilient our Rocketeers are, having gone from in-person to fully remote during the COVID-19 pandemic, back to in-person, and ultimately transforming into the hybrid structure we see today.

What to Expect at Rocket.Build 2023

Rocket.Build officially kicks off this year on November 30, where participants will have a full day of building their projects across a hybrid mix of Rocket Software locations and remote workspaces. While innovation is at the core of this competition, every Rocket.Build competition is judged in accordance with the themes outlined for each year. These themes are meant to inspire participants and encourage them to push the boundaries of innovation. The three themes behind Rocket.Build 2023 are:

• Strengthening the Culture of High-Performing Teams: How does a project help high-performing teams attract quality talent, increase employee retention and satisfaction and make Rocket Software the best possible place to work?
• Know Your Customer: How does a project help to enhance the “Know Your Customer” initiative to protect from risks, ensure regulatory requirements are met and develop a better understanding of customer preferences?
• Artificial Intelligence: How does a project jump on the AI bandwagon to take Rocket Software products to the next level, elevate customer experiences, and leverage large language models?

Following the build day on November 30, participants will present their creations to a diverse group of judges. From there, the projects that are selected by our judges will advance to the next round where participants will present to Rocket Software’s full Executive team who will determine the winners.
