Rocket® D3 Oracle Gateway
The fastest way to get to Oracle® databases from Rocket D3 DBMS
The Rocket® D3 Oracle Gateway is an OSFI interface that allows D3 programmers to open, read, write, and select data from Oracle® databases using the standard D3 tools: BASIC, the Update Processor, the Editor, AQL, and others. Support for row level locking lets you write BASIC code against any Oracle database as if it were a D3 file.
High-performance, low-touch access to Oracle data
Since Oracle databases and tables are defined through super Q-Pointers, any D3 methods for accessing data can be used to get to Oracle. Run Access Query Language (AQL) against Oracle tables, or open, read, and write Oracle tables and items from BASIC using standard Pick/BASIC instructions.
The Rocket D3 Oracle Gateway uses the standard Oracle Data Access API called Oracle Connectivity Interface (OCI), so there is no need for extra communication layers such as ODBC. Direct access means performance is optimal.
