Rocket BlueZone Technical Specifications

BlueZone Terminal Emulation

Rocket BlueZone emulation clients are designed specifically for workstations running the Windows operating system to allow workstations in a LAN environment to communicate with a wide variety of host systems. To function properly, BlueZone must be installed on a workstation that includes the following minimum hardware and software components:

BlueZone Desktop Requirements

Operating Systems: Windows 7 Windows 8.1 Windows 10 Windows Server 2008 or later

Note: BlueZone Unisys UTS Display Emulator and BlueZone Unisys T27 Display Emulator are only available in a 32-bit version. All other BlueZone emulation clients are available in 32-bit or 64-bit versions.

Hardware Requirements

Hardware: A processor capable of supporting one of the above operating systems At least the minimum amount of memory required by that operating system 100 MB of free disk space for installation

BlueZone Web to Host Requirements

BlueZone Web to Host does not perform any processing or emulation on the Web server, therefore eliminating the need for additional processing power beyond that which is necessary to download less than 5MB of data to the user's machine when the BlueZone Web to Host application is accessed for the first time.

  • 50 MB of free disk space is required for each site created by the Web to Host Wizard

When using the BlueZone ActiveX Web-to-Host Control Module (Internet Explorer (IE) only):
Internet Explorer 9.0 or higher with:

  • Medium security settings, or
  • Custom settings with Signed ActiveX Controls and ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting enabled

When using Java Web Start with IE or any other browser:

Rocket BlueZone X

Rocket® BlueZoneX is a PC X server that lets you easily connect to Windows applications running on UNIX and Linux platforms. Run even the most demanding 3D graphics applications (normally accessed only through UNIX workstations) right from desktop PCs.

BlueZoneX includes SSH security, Open GL graphics, multiple desktop and multiple monitor support, copy and paste of text and graphics, FIPS 140-2 compliance, and a session distribution wizard for simplified administration. BlueZoneX supports RSH, REXEC, and XDMCP protocols, as well as Secure Shell (SSH)."
