Community Day 2025

In honor of Rocket Software’s 35th anniversary, Rocketeers came together for one of our most beloved traditions – Community Day. Each year, Rocketeers worldwide spend the day giving back to their local communities, often together with other Rocketeers.

This day is a direct reflection of the core values that have guided Rocket Software on its 35-year journey—from the early days as a startup focused on IBM solutions, to present day as an industry leader in modernization with over 12,500 customers, 750 partners, and 3,200 employees.

From food drives to park cleanups to working with nonprofits, here’s a look at how some of our Rocketeers from across the globe helped give back.

Food Lifeline

Seattle Rocketeers Help People Experiencing Hunger

Rocketeers in Seattle partnered with Food Lifeline, Washington state’s largest hunger relief organization. Food Lifeline is dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington through its food pantries, meal programs, and shelters network. Twelve Rocketeers, plus some of their family members, sorted through 11,560 pounds of potatoes and apples, transferring them from giant bins into 40-lb boxes. After sorting the food, it was distributed to local food banks and families in need within 48 hours. The team of Rocketeers was incredibly grateful to spend the day together helping those who needed it.

Bengaluru Office

To mark Community Day, Rocketeers from our Bengaluru office pooled funds to help the Karunashraya, Bangalore Hospice Trust, a palliative care center that is part of the Indian Cancer Society and provides free care to terminally ill patients. The team of nine Rocketeers volunteered their time at the nonprofit’s location, putting together medical kits, preparing food for patients, and spending the day together while assisting patients battling cancer.

Bulgaria Rocketeers Clean Local Parks

Several Rocketeers in Sofia, Bulgaria, set out on Community Day, trading in their keyboards for trash bags to clean up the trails and woodlands surrounding Vitosha Mountain, a natural landmark just outside the city of Sofia. The volunteers battled through some rainy weather, working together to help clean up and better the park and community.

Rocketeers in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona, went above and beyond to help the hungry. The Phoenix office volunteered at United Food Bank in Mesa, Arizona, bagging food items before the food bank distributed them to over 120 partner organizations and food banks across central and eastern Arizona.

About two hours down the highway, the Tucson-based Rocketeers volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. This nonprofit relies on hundreds of volunteers to conduct its operations. Rocketeers sorted food at one of the many distribution centers before the packages were distributed to those in need.

Lithuania Rocketeers

Rocketeers in the Vilnius, Lithuania office, persevered through rain and damp conditions to clean up the historic Vilnius Castle territory at Mountain Park for Community Day and Rocket’s 35th anniversary. The park is considered a significant part of Vilnius’s cultural heritage and history. More than 50 team members came out to clean up trash, autumn leaves, and other debris at the historical site, portraying outstanding commitment and unity. Together, they transformed the local landmark to preserve it for future use and public enjoyment.
