Rocket.Build inspires innovation that delivers legendary impact in the world

Rocket.Build began in 2014 as a small internal hackathon that occurred during an annual Rocket Leadership event. On the surface, Rocketeers were given a simple challenge: make a difference for our customers through product innovation over the next five days.

We couldn’t have imagined back then how Rocket.Build would change us forever.

Today, it’s grown to include not just Rocketeers, but our entire customer, partner, and student ecosystem. Our global community of Rocket.Builders innovate throughout the year in both Rocketeer and student events, challenging themselves to create solutions that improve the world we share.

Congratulations to our finalists

On June 3 and 4, over 700 participants from 21 countries joined us for the Rocket.Build 2025 virtual qualifiers. The energy, teamwork, and great ideas on display were truly impressive.

Now, we’re excited to announce the 24 outstanding projects that peers have chosen to advance to finals in Waltham, MA, USA. This November, the finalists will spend two more days together at Rocket Software headquarters, developing their projects before presenting them to our executive leadership team. We wish all finalists the best of luck!

The following themes were featured in this year’s Rocket.Build. 

Theme 1: The future of work

Rocket is turning 35, but we’re not slowing down. Instead, we’re asking: How do we work smarter, faster, and more effectively? Your mission: reinvent the workplace of tomorrow.

  • Improve troubleshooting and diagnostics for quicker issue resolution.
  • Enhance observability with tools like OpenTelemetry (OTEL).
