Rocket Software Expands Global Reach with New Offices in Asia, US

Waltham, MA — June 13,  2016—Rocket Software, Inc. (www.rocketsoftware.com) today announced the opening of new offices in Japan, China and the US to meet increasing customer demand and to hire top local talent. Rocket, which launched 26 years ago in Boston, has a growing global footprint that includes more than 1300 Rocketeers in 31 offices across North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.

• Rocket opened a new office in the heart of the business district in Sapporo less than two years after establishing its first Japan office in Yokohama. This expansion reflects Rocket’s increasingly important relationship with IBM in Japan.
• To support its growing operations in China, Rocket moved to a new facility in Dalian, the financial center of Northeast China. Because this city hosts both the Dalian IT Zone and Dalian Software Park, it is the ideal location for expanded operations and talent acquisition.
• A new office in Austin, Texas is increasing Rocket’s presence in the innovative IT community there, and is already home to nearly 40 Rocketeers. The company has already announced plans to hire for several new positions in Austin in 2016.
