Waltham, MA, October 11, 2017 – Rocket Software Inc. today announced the latest addition to its suite of modernization tools for IBM i and other legacy platforms with the launch of Rocket® API for IBM i. Rocket API helps users participate in the API economy and monetize their data by making it even easier for them to transform rigid, green-screen based workflows into the intuitive web and mobile experiences today’s users demand. One early customer already seeing benefits from Rocket API is OneMain, the largest consumer loan originator in the United States. “Rocket API has paid big dividends for us,” said James Owens, CTO of OneMain, which is using Rocket API to modernize its multichannel communications to employees, partners and customers. “Before, we built APIs to our mission-critical IBM i applications manually with Java; with Rocket, it now takes developers less than half the time to do the same job.”
