Lunch & Learn: Simplify Mainframe Operations: OMEGAMON & Grafana
IBM has introduced a significant enhancement to the IBM OMEGAMON family. Designed to modernize, streamline, and integrate mainframe performance monitoring powered by Grafana.

This session provides a technical dive into the new UI architecture. We will show how Grafana dashboards deliver high-level enterprise views with seamless drill-down capabilities into subsystem metrics—z/OS, CICS, Db2, and more. Attendees will learn how to leverage this unified observability layer to identify performance anomalies faster, correlate data across domains, and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR). Discover how this evolution aligns mainframe monitoring with open standards and modern IT workflows, enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of operational insights across both traditional and hybrid cloud environments.
