EY Names Rocket Software CEO Andy Youniss New England Entrepreneur Of The Year^®

BOSTON, MA, June 28, 2017 – EY has named Andy Youniss, President & CEO of Rocket Software, as a recipient of the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Award in the New England – Software category. This award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurial achievements in areas like innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to one’s business and community. A panel of independent judges (including former Entrepreneur of the Year participants) selected Andy as a finalist on June 6, and announced the regional winners yesterday evening at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. The award highlights Andy’s achievement in building Rocket Software into the fifth largest privately held software company in Massachusetts, with solutions used by 48 of the Fortune 50, and locations all over the world.

“This is a victory for the entire entrepreneurship community in Boston, and it’s inspiring to see how many local companies are really innovating,” said Youniss. ”Becoming an entrepreneur was never my plan, and I suspect all the other finalists feel the same way. We just wanted to do something that would make a difference here in Boston and all around the world. If you set out to build a business that stands for something, stay true to those core values, and do the right thing for your customers, partners, and employees, success will take care of itself.”

Rocket Software has helped thousands of organizations optimize and modernize their critical business applications and infrastructure, delivering a better user experience to employees and customers.

Now in its 31st year, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities across more than 60 countries throughout the world.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 18, 2017. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum™, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
