U2712: U2 DataVu Essentials - Building a Dashboard

Purpose

This course is designed to teach U2 DataVu development authors the skills necessary to create a U2 DataVu Dashboard. Students are introduced to dashboards from storyboard to creating an interactive functional dashboard. Important aspects that allow the U2 DataVu dashboard building process are covered including wizards that assist in the building process. The Visual Designer tool is taught along with Project Explorer objects available specifically for dashboards including Globals, Queries and Scenes. Dashboard developers and authors will soon appreciate the essentials of building a dashboard and will be poised for Advanced Dashboard techniques.

Audience

This course is designed for novice U2 DataVu developers and authors of dashboards.

Prerequisites

In order to attend this course you must have the following skills or completed the following courses:

U2710: U2 DataVu Essentials -- Overview and Query, or equivalent knowledge

Define Visual Dashboards
Storyboard a dashboard project
Use the Visual Designer perspective
Create a new dashboard
Investigate Project Explorer content including Globals, Queries, Scenes
Modify and enhance dashboard
Use Expression Designer
