U2710: U2 DataVu Essentials - Overview and Query

Purpose
This course is designed to teach U2 DataVu consumers and development authors the basics of U2 DataVu Query. Students will learn about DataVu and the robust potential of Query, Visual Reporting and Dashboards in the Overview section in addition to creating a workspace, a data source to U2 a database, personal and shared repositories. The Query section teaches skills for beginning users on how to create simple queries against a U2 data source and use powerful tools to sort and modify result sets.

This course is designed for U2 DataVu consumers and developers/authors of queries.
Prerequisites
In order to attend this course you must have the following skills or completed the following courses:
- U2800 UniVerse Fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge

- U2200 UniData Fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge
Objectives
After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Describe U2 DataVu
- Open the U2 DataVu eclipse based User Interface (UI)
- Describe user perspectives
- Create and connect to a personal repository
- Create and populate a workspace
- Configure a personal User Perspective
- Build a query against the U2 XDEMO database
- Modify sorting options and implementing constraints
- Investigate display characteristics
- Investigate data formatting, display, and font options
- Use aggregation techniques
- Use run options and saving queries to repositories
