SB600: Using SystemBuilder Extensible Architecture

Purpose
This course is designed to teach programmers familiar with the SystemBuilder applications to utilize the new SystemBuilder Extensible Architecture. Students will learn the new three-tier architecture that includes a communication tier, an application tier and a presentation tier. From installation to implementation, this course covers the all aspects of the new SB/XA application presentation using Windows Presentation Foundation (Microsoft Corporation’s WPF) and Windows Communication Foundation (Microsoft Corporation’s WCF).
Audience
This course is designed for programmers familiar with the SystemBuilder application development and individuals familiar with Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
Prerequisites
Students should have the following skills and/or completed the following U2 courses:
- UniData and UniVerse Database Programming (U2120) or equivalent programming experience
- SB+ Essentials (SB500) or equivalent programming experience
- SB+ Advanced Development (SB525) or equivalent programming experience

- Explain XUI themes and styles
- Use SB/XA tools
