Features
Rocket Shuttle v9.1 enhancements include:
- Completely re-engineered product line, transforming the former Rocket Shuttle for Windows and Visionary product offerings into a single, Eclipse-based, cross-platform solution.
- Significantly improved 'Rocket Shuttle for WebSphere' companion offering delivers substantially all of the functionality found in the Eclipse version, but using a pure HTML, browser-based client (zero code on the workstation).
- Provides wide array of business reporting solutions, from printable, tabular and graphical reports to highly visual executive dashboards and information portals.
- Ability to build and deploy BI solutions that are delivered via XML, HTML, PDF or using a high performance, client-side applet.
- Built atop a brand new security infrastructure, with the ability to leverage either a Shuttle or LDAP-based security model.
- New Shuttle workspaces automatically tailor content appropriate to the user and/or group. For example, technical resources may see a traditional DB-centric view whereas business users see a role-specific view of relevant reports and dashboards.
- Newly developed data cache provides a means of caching result sets with user and/or group-specific expiration rules.
- 'Offline' schemas allow content authors to view database resources, such as tables, views and procedures without physically accessing the underlying database. Offline schemas can also be tailored to each user/group such that each individual sees only those tables and columns relevant to their job functional.
- Completely re-engineered form designer, now available in both the Workstation and WebSphere offerings, grossly simplifies the development of forms.
- New OLAP query builder, complete with graphical designer, hierarchical and dimension filtering, informational SQL view, and fully interactive results grid.
- Functionally independent Eclipse perspectives for administrators, users and graphical report designers.
