Built on Eclipse, the Rocket DV Studio enables mainframe and non-mainframe developers to easily curate (discover and map) data, virtualize and enable with new application development, for easy, plug-and-play connectivity with leading analytics and digital tools (web, mobile and cloud) 

Rocket Data Virtualization Connectivity:
RDV provides a comprehensive range of industry-standard APIs and interfaces for easy, plug-and-play connectivity to leading business intelligence, analytics and web applications, including:

  • ANSI 92-SQL, (ODBC, JDBC), SOAP, REST, JSON/BSON

Rocket Data Virtualization z/OS Runtime Platform:
At the core of RDV is a z/OS-based server that simplifies information access across a wide range of mainframe data, program and screen environments without the need to move data or migrate valuable program logic off host.

Rocket Data Virtualization zIIP Utilization:

RDV is underpinned with a data architecture engineered to take full advantage of the IBM System z mainframe platform, in particular the IBM System z Integrated Information Processor (zIIP). With its unique hybrid thread pool, RDV allows mainframe data to remain on the mainframe, and be virtually integrated using the zIIP specialty engine for significantly reduced mainframe Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
