Application Development: A variety of products that support the development of enterprise applications focused on the collection, analysis and dissemination of business data across the enterprise. Solutions include the processing of both structured and unstructured data, as well as the visualization of information using Java, .NET, HTML, XML and Flash-based user interfaces that can be incorporated into custom-developed desktop, web and System Z-based applications.
Application Lifecycle Management
Application Modernization: Application modernization solutions that enhance and integrate legacy applications on IBM mainframe, IBM midrange, OpenVMS, and Windows client/server systems. These include green screen-to-GUI enhancement, scalable SOA integration, reporting/dashboarding, and data migration and conversion.
Business Intelligence: An array of solutions that allow enterprises to disseminate critical business data across all levels of the organization. Product offerings range from productive data analysis and ad-hoc querying tools for data analysts to highly visual graphical applications for non-technical users. Consumer Productivity: A variety of desktop software solutions that offer business and home users data encryption and password security, as well as enhanced productivity when visiting Web sites or working within Web-based applications.
Database Servers: Database server and development software solutions that offer efficient ways to manage the storage and retrieval of normalized and non normalized data, give application developers intuitive modeling and manipulation of complex business structures, simplify database operations with dynamic schema, and application subsystems management.
Database Tools
File Transfer: Secure File Transfer solutions providing SSL, TLS, and SSH data stream security. Products include; traditional Windows secure FTP clients; SSL/TLS FTP Proxy; and HTTPS to secure FTP gateway using ActiveX and COM/.NET API clients.
Mainframe Productivity: The Mainframe Productivity line of products help keep your z/OS storage environment tuned and available. These products service and maintain ICF catalogs, VSAM and non-VSAM file I/O, and provide your z/OS administrators with the tools to tune them as well.
Network Management
Publishing & Search Platforms: Solutions for compiling and deploying highly searchable content for use by Internet, intranet, and offline users (CD / DVD). Using the applications and tools included in the Rocket Folio™ and NXT™ product suites, information publishers can efficiently and cost effectively enhance, secure, and deliver high-value reference information. Solutions include a very sophisticated search engine, intuitive navigation, and many research features that can be personalized to help users pinpoint the information they need.
SOA and Integration: Easily deploy business logic and data from existing platforms to your SOA environment. Expose applications and data as services from any existing system: IBM mainframes, IBM midrange (IBM i), OpenVMS, and Windows client/server.
Storage Management: An industry-leading lineup of z/OS applications designed to enhance and automate your management of data storage backups, recoveries, ICF catalogs, and DFSMShsm.
Terminal Emulation: Terminal emulation solutions to access legacy systems including; IBM Mainframes (3270), IBM Midrange (5250), Unisys (UTS and T27), VMS (ICL 7561) and many ASCII hosts (Unix, HP, VAX, AIX). Solutions include: desktop and web-to-host emulation targeted at replacing existing terminal emulators; server-based emulation providing ActiveX and HTML rich-clients; and API-based emulation providing development tools, components, and a secure run-time environment.
Text Mining: Highly effective solutions capable of deriving meaning from content contained within unstructured text documents. Ideally suited for text mining applications, these solutions are capable of identifying and extracting references to entities, such as people, products, dates, places and products, as well as the associations and events that connect them.
