Rocket Software is proud to announce Rocket AS Version 6 Release 3 with the new Rocket.Ascent Client.

Rocket.Ascent Client is:

  • The new front-end user interface to Rocket AS, providing an up-to-date look-and-feel to existing applications with little or no effort.
  • Built on Eclipse, a popular Java-based development environment, which provides a modern, highly customizable Graphical User Interface which will be familiar to a wide audience.

Use Rocket.Ascent Client instead of your 3270 emulator to connect to Rocket AS and you can immediately have the look-and-feel of a Windows interface to AS and AS Applications with menu bars, edit fields, check boxes and vibrant colors.

Rocket AS Version 6 Release 3 (AS v6.3) contains 37 improvements compared with the previous release of AS and 537 improvements compared with IBM AS Version 4 Release 2.

The enhancements in this release are predominantly for supporting the new AS Client, Rocket.Ascent, but there are improvements for host AS users in the areas of application development, general facilities, system management, demonstrations and utilities.
