Rocket Software (www.rocketsoftware.com), a global technology developer focused on enterprise computing, will participate in the IBM Insight2015 conference (www.ibm.comOctober 25-29 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Rocket team will highlight new solutions that help organizations modernize in-place infrastructure for improved analytics and easier access to data, as well as self-service data preparation and discovery solutions that provide business decision makers with visual dashboarding and collaboration tools. Featured solutions will include Rocket Discover, Rocket Mobile for z Systems, Mainframe Data Service (MDS) for Bluemix, and Data Virtualization Server (DVS) for Apache Spark.

During the conference, Rocket executives will host three exclusive luncheon roundtable discussions covering Rocket Discover, Rocket Mobile for z Systems, MDS for Bluemix, and DVS for Apache Spark demos.

  • On Monday, IBM i Solutions Chief Technologist Dan Magid and VP, R&D and CTO Bryan Smith will lead a discussion entitled Sizzling Hot Big Iron on modernizing enterprise systems with new technology.
  • On Tuesday, Patrick Spedding, Senior Director of the Business Information and Analytics Lab, and Business Information and Analytics SVP and GM Bob Potter will lead a session titled Self-Service BI, discussing data discovery and data preparation that is 100% driven by the business user.
  • On Wednesday, Data Lab Senior Director Gregg Willhoit will chair a session titled Mainframe Data Service for Apache Spark on z/OS, exploring and demoing a variety of applications integrated in real-time with a combination of data sources.

Rocket experts will lead conference breakout sessions throughout the event covering key topics, and also offer attendees the chance to learn more about Rocket solutions during deep-dive product sessions.

As an additional incentive, one participant at each roundtable will win two floor access wristbands for Wednesday evening’s Maroon 5 concert, which is sponsored by Rocket Software. Additionally, visitors to Booth 610 can enter for a chance to win a custom Rocketcaster guitar, which will be given away during the concert.
