IBM and Rocket Software, Inc., Announce Technology Agreement

SOMERS, NY—April 4, 1994—IBM and Rocket Software(2), Inc., today announced an agreement in which IBM will license Rocket’s technology that enhances the performance and simplifies the administration of IBM’s Query Management Facility (QMF)(1).

QMF is IBM’s leading query and report generation system which provides data management solutions for end users and information system professionals who have the need to query or edit data, create reports and charts, or develop applications in a highly productive manner.

“With today’s announcement, IBM will incorporate a key technology in QMF and substantially enhance the performance and manageability of the product,” Chris Arnold, IBM Software Solutions vice president and site general manager, Santa Teresa.
