Alameda, California—September 29, 2003—Rocket Software Telecom Unit, a global provider of Service & Network Management Solutions, today announced that its Rocket Telecom Suite has achieved interoperability approval from Nortel Networks (NYSE/TSX: NT). This was achieved using CDMA2000 1x infrastructure equipment in Nortel Networks’ Richardson, Texas Wireless Interoperability Lab. The approval and participation in the interoperability testing (IOT) program demonstrates that the Rocket Telecom Suite will work successfully with Nortel Networks CDMA2000 1x equipment. The Rocket Telecom Suite consists of three products: Rocket Integrated Service Management (ISM), Rocket Fault Management (FM) and Rocket Performance Management (PM).

Rocket ISM enables wireless providers to offer advanced service level management capabilities and Service Level Agreements (SLA) on 2.5 and 3G networks and services. Rocket FM provides integrated multi-technology/multi-vendor network and service management. Rocket PM provides near real-time and historical views enabling Wireless Service Providers to proactively manage their network and service quality. The Rocket PM module also provides reporting intelligence for visualizing the behavior of wireless services End-to-End.
