Newton, Massachusetts—December 1, 2003—Rocket Software, Inc. today announced that it has purchased the software technology assets of StorageNetworks, Inc., the STORos StorageManager suite of products. STORos� is a proven storage management solution previously used by StorageNetworks to manage 1.5 petabytes of data in 42 data centers around the world. StorageNetworks has dissolved and is in the process of liquidating.
Rocket will use the STORos product line to bolster its already significant offerings in the storage management and data center management markets. Rocket’s storage management products enable data center managers to efficiently manage large amounts of data in multi-vendor, multi-site storage environments.
