CorVu Wins Prestigious UK Housing Technology Award

Performance management solution takes home trophy at Housing Excellence Awards

Newton, Mass., May 26, 2009 – Rocket Software (www.rocketsoftware.com) today announced that its CorVu performance management software product has won the “Innovation in Housing Technology” prize at the UK Housing Excellence Awards in Manchester, England. CorVu was one of five finalists in the category, and was selected based on the service delivery improvements that its customers had made as a result of using the software, as well as its compelling return on investment.

According to Andy Steeds, CorVu Business Development Manager, “Performance management in the multifamily sector is still a relatively fragmented affair. Most organizations measure key performance indicators (KPI) in one system and manage actions and risks in others – while using Microsoft Word and Excel to mop up the bits that are left over. This approach is not only a drain on productivity, but makes it virtually impossible to provide a coherent view of performance across the business as data is constantly being shuffled through multiple systems. CorVu’s integrated approach to performance management – in which all information is managed through one browser-based system – is being hailed by many housing organizations as the single most important factor in their ability to promote a performance culture and improve service levels.”

By extracting and consolidating data that measures financial, operational and productivity performance across an entire organization, managers have a clear and accurate idea of how their business is performing, which leads to better budgeting and resource allocation. Oxford City Homes uses CorVu to create drillable reports which are viewed during senior and middle management team meetings for discussion and action where performance is poor. Jo Gardner, Oxford City Homes’ Performance Management Officer, says, “This has helped develop further processes for improvements or stimulated new projects which can be entered into the system directly during the meeting. Supporting information helps record where and why services have – or could be- improved, and this has been imperative in building the performance culture at Oxford City Homes.”

The key benefits of CorVu in the multifamily sector include:

  • Consolidation of mission-critical data
  • Full compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Better availability of KPIs online and in real time
  • “One-button” reporting
  • Provides alerts and updates to senior management
