Features and Benefits

Capacity Plus for VSAM Version 1.4.1 includes the following features:

Features Benefits
SYNC Command The SYNCHRONIZE (SYNC) command creates a control repository record for compressed datasets by obtaining pertinent information from the dataset catalog entry. Useful for datasets compressed with Capacity Plus 1.3.5 and earlier.
New keyword
"CONREP" added to the DECOMPRESS command		 The enhanced DECOMPRESS command allows specific control repository names to be used via the CONREP keyword.
New keywords "SAEX0", "SAEX1", "SAEX2" on the ENABLE command These new keywords provide flexibility by allowing you to select the desired region size based on site requirements.
Support for SMS compressed datasets To avoid any potential double compression which can make a dataset unreadable, Capacity Plus will not compress datasets that are already SMS and Capacity Plus compressed.
Vendor product router The vendor product router provides enhanced performance and compatibility with other vendor products.
