Overview
Rocket Shuttle AS Edition (RSAE) delivers a comprehensive array of business intelligence capabilities to enhance business decision making. Central to these features is a powerful graphical reporting environment with executive dashboards, rich data visualizations, and printable, graphical reports. In addition, RSAE offers a rich security model and personalization capabilities.
RSAE consists of the following two components:
- Rocket Shuttle for Workstation AS Edition is the single tool needed to directly access any DB2 server platform and quickly deliver enterprise querying, reporting and analysis capabilities to every Windows desktop.
- Rocket Shuttle for Websphere AS Edition is a brand new offering within the Rocket family. It is a completely reengineered version of Web-based data access previously released as Rocket Shuttle Query for Java. Rocket Shuttle for WebSphere allows ordinary Web Browsers to become “zero maintenance” thin clients for on demand access to enterprise DB2 business data.
Using RSAE with AS and ICE
RSAE works closely with Rocket AS v6 and ASTRAC ICE v6 allowing you to:
- Create and edit tables from AS v6.
- Use SQL Syntax to query ASv6 data Tables.
- Run ICE queries (AS QS Tables) and AS Procedure tables.
- Review ASv6 procedure output and/or data as a result set.
- Save results in AS Tables, IBM DB2 tables or other databases.
- Use Queries, Reports and Dashboards from shared repositories.
- Transfer data to Microsoft Excel Worksheets.
- Create executive dashboards and Visual Reports.
- Save Reports in HTML or PDF format for easy sharing.
- Use Explorer for easily browsing application codes and table structures.
- Use any Web browser as a low-maintenance thin client for visual on-demand access business data.
Note: RSAE only works on AS version 6.1 (with service pack 1) or 6.2 and later releases (it does not work on AS version 5.3 or below). Existing Rocket AS version 5 users can move to AS version 6 via the free upgrade.
