Giovanni Paliska
Arkivio Business Area Executive
Giovanni Paliska serves as the General Manager of Rocket's Arkivio brand. He was one of the founders of Arkivio, served as its President & CEO, and was responsible for the strategic direction and management of the company. Under his leadership, Arkivio was recognized as one of the leading storage management software companies in the industry. As a result, Arkivio was acquired in 2008 by Rocket.
A former Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at CDS, Giovanni was a key member of the executive team establishing CDS as the leader in NAS software solutions, culminating in its sale to Maxtor in September of 1999. He was also the former Senior Vice President of Sales at Micronet where he was responsible for repositioning the company, resulting in its sale to Ampex. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Sales at PLI and Vice President of Europe at RasterOps where he was responsible for sales, marketing and operations. Giovanni has over 20 years of experience in the high technology field and brings channel, OEM, and direct sales and marketing experience. He has a wealth of experience in defining and executing product strategies. He holds a BSEE from the Polytechnic Institute in Milan, Italy. Giovanni was granted a US Patent on data storing techniques based upon storage policies (# 7092977B).
